The entire family will enjoy a quick and simple French dip sandwich.
Easy French Dip Sandwiches
4 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise
1 (10.5 ounce) can beef consomme
1 cup water
1 pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
8 slices provolone cheese
- Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C). Hoagie rolls should be opened and spread out on a baking pan.
- To prepare a rich beef broth, boil water and beef consommé in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Warm the roast beef in the broth for three minutes. Place meat on the hoagie rolls, and then add two slices of provolone to each roll.
- Sandwiches should be baked in a preheated oven for around five minutes to melt the cheese. Sandwiches should be served with tiny bowls of heated soup.
